If you ever doubted the global interest in the smart home, then let the latest numbers from a study conducted by Berg Insight provide you clarity.
It’s now reported that an approximate 17.9 million homes across America and Europe have upgraded themselves to become smart homes. This means that tens of millions of families have at least a smart home security system, lights, thermostat, appliances, etc. helping them to run their household more efficiently.
This number is expected to continue steadily growing according to Johan Svanberg, Senior Analyst for Berg Insight.
“There is no doubt that regular consumers in the future will own and operate a wide range of connected objects in their homes, from connected home appliances and luminaires to thermostats and security devices.”
Welcome to the future, folks!
