A Look At How Self-Driving Cars See The World
We’ve all heard about the innovations and predictions surrounding self-driving cars and when they could potentially go mainstream. What we haven’t seen, however, is the ways in which they interact with the roads and scenery surrounding them – until now.
New York Times Magazine has teamed up with ScanLAB Projects to give the world its first look inside the mind of self-driving cars. In the video below, you’ll see the roads and scenery of a typical street through the lens of ScanLAB’s 3D laser scanner, which was mounted on a car driving around.
