So, My Glass Pitcher Exploded In The Freezer
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you left your favourite glass pitcher in the freezer full of water?
I unfortunately found out, thanks to Piper.
This past weekend I left my apartment in a major hurry because I was running late for an overdue visit to my family home for a birthday celebration. Just before leaving I remember filling my favourite decorative pitcher up with water and putting it in the freezer.
Do you know those moments of cognitive dissonance where you’re doing something that you know is stupid and that you’ll regret later only to find that you can’t stop your body from completing the task – as if it were some sort of divinely planned unfortunate experience?
Well, that’s exactly what happened here. I literally felt myself regretting forgetting the pitcher in the freezer before it was even completely in and feeling like it was a stupid idea to put it in there knowing I was going to be away for the weekend, yet I just couldn’t stop myself.
Anyway, long story short, while hanging out with my mother I got a Piper alert that reminded me how stupid I’d been the previous evening.
It took about 24 hours for my precious decorative piece to explode and Piper had sent me a parting souvenir (which I’ve cut down to 10 seconds) to remember it by:
I wonder if my neighbours thought it was some kind of gun shot.
