PC Mag Names Piper One Of The Best Products Of 2015
PC Mag’s analysts and editors tested and rated more than 2,500 products and services in its PC Labs this year in order to compile a list featuring the cream of the crop products released in the past 12 months that they recommend you add to your holiday shopping list.
Piper is proud to say that it landed a highly coveted spot on the list, with PC Mag calling it “more than just a surveillance camera; it’s a security system and a home automation hub all rolled into one slick-looking device,” and more.
Also on the list? Vivint Sky‘s subscription-based service which comes with technicians that will “come to your house, install everything, and give you a comprehensive tour of the system.”
There’s also a smart vacuum called iRobot Roomba 980 which “learns your floor plan, works surprisingly well on carpets and rugs, and may even encourage you to tidy up more often.”
The ecobee3 smart wifi thermostat was also raved about, with PC Mag saying it “takes smart thermostats to a new level, with support for remote sensors that monitor and adjust multiple rooms in your house,” while the Cree Connected LED Bulb was described as”pack[ing] much of the same functionality as bulbs that cost twice as much.”
And last but not least, PC Mag had nothing but nice things to say about the DJI Phantom 3 Professional, which is said to be “easy to fly thanks to a solid remote control, automated safety features, and a 4K camera that streams live video to your phone or tablet so you can see exactly where the drone is headed.”
Congratulations to everyone who made the cut, and cheers to PC Mag for continuing to do a great job covering the Smart Home industry!
